[attr="class","likedoinfo"]Kessho Reform Academy has five distinct groups. The Disciplinary Committee, the Athletics clubs, the Cultural Clubs, the Anarchy gang and those not in any clubs or committees. These “clubs” play important roles within the schools hierarchy. Most school “clubs” are fronts for gang activity, with the leaders of these club branches generally being the leaders of gang alliances.
The "School Clubs" below are the current most prominent gangs. These may change as the site plot progresses and member based gangs form or these gangs are token over.
These students are those bought over by the school for whatever reason. They are the student police of the school. While the school employs guards and skilled teachers, these students have similar duties. They are generally considered the strongest over all students in school. These students get the largest Cash allowance, and their leaders have their own pent house dormitory.
The job of the Disciplinary Committee is to break up fights in the Arena when they go too far or if they find trouble to stop it. They are suppose to protect the weaker students and act as hall monitors. The Disciplinary Committee is made up of three students who run the committee and then several hall monitors. It is lead by the Disciplinary Committee Captain and the Vice Captain. There is one Committee Officers who goes out on active patrols, brings activities to the alert of the Disciplinary Committee and generally assumes command of the hall monitors should the Captains be otherwise disposed of.
New officers of the Disciplinary Committee are either appointed by the faculty or win a fight against a current officer to win their rank. Hall Monitors are known for punishing trouble makers with violence as they're the only students allowed to fight outside of the arena. However, some hall monitors abuse their power. Hall Monitors make up 5% of the student body.
The Athletics Club consists of the top Club Captains from several different Athletic Clubs. Athletic clubs are generally more violent gangs. They usually consist mostly of the students who were sent to the school for assault and more radical charges. This club generally prides itself in the crimes they committed and the most violent ones are often revered. Their leader is considered the physically strongest in school. This is by far the largest gang alliance within the school grounds, making up 25% of the student body.
The Athletics Club generally hangs out in the Athletics building, which is adjacent to the Arena and a large field used for various sports. Athletic Club members tend to have a reputation for being short tempered and really good in a fight. The gang is generally involved in forcing other students to fight in the Arena to steal items from them or cow them into submission.
The Cultural Club consists of the top Club Presidents from several different Cultural Clubs. Cultural clubs are generally more cerebral gangs. These students generally committed elaborate thefts or cyber crime. Furthermore, this club is more likely to have students who didnt commit crimes severe enough to be sent to Kessho but have useful skills. The leader of this club is usually considered to be the sliest or most intelligent student at the school. This club makes up 15% of the student body.
The Cultural Club generally hangs out in the Cultural Building, which is adjacent to the class buildings and has it's own computer lab. Cultural Club members are usually stereotyped as cowards who hide behind computers or lies. The gang is generally involved in blackmailing other students to do things for them or stealing items.
The Anarchy Gang differs from other clubs as they use no front for their activities. They're the smallest gang, containing less than .5% of the student body. However, members of this gang are noted for being more psychotic than anything else. It is said that they possess the most murderers of any gang. The leader of this gang is considered the most dangerous person in the school to upset.
The Anarchy Gang hangs out in the Forest. Despite the risk of punishment, they continue to go there. They seem to thrive on the punishment. Members of this gang genuinely harass students who seem interesting to them. They have no normal activities aside from whatever they want to do.
The average student at Kessho Reform Academy isnt affiliated with the gangs, and they're just trying to survive the school. With only roughly 40% affiliated with the Athletics and Cultural clubs, half of those are simply people who say they're affiliated. In reality, half of the members of each club are simply there for protection and cant be truly counted as members of the groups proper. The average student is considered under the Disciplinary Committees protection, thus counting as their faction.
Average students can be in favor of one faction over another, but they are not yet a member of any. Many hidden gems hide among the average students as they dont attract attention to them.
Not anyone can join a Gang or a Club. The opportunity to join will present itself within events or if your character displays traits favorable to the gang... Or you can make your own.
