Robin is a man of few words, unless he has a few drinks in him that is. He's quite stoic and doesn't complain about pain or hardships he's going through and just keeps it to himself. Whether it's physical or emotional the boy will stand tall with a straight face, liking to lead by example. Despite his quite nature he is quite sociable and has pretty good people skills. Robin is a tenacious individual, if he sets his mind to something you better believe he's going to get it done. With the tenacity comes stubbornness, he'll fight for his ideals and will almost always refuse a middle ground, wanting to do things his way.

Due to his tenacity and social skills, Robin is a natural born leader and has the experience to prove it. He's firm yet understanding, just because he doesn't show emotion doesn't mean he doesn't have any. He considers himself a funny guy, he loves to tell deadpan humour that either falls flat or comes across as serious from others. Though he might come across as brooding or imposing, he's a pretty down to earth guy who's just done some really really bad things.

Being born a single child with a single mother, Robin for most of his life tried not to cause any trouble to stress out his mom any more than she was. In his early age he was a timid and polite kid who did his school work and followed all of the rules. Though he didn't have many friends he was content, his mom was happy whenever he got good marks and as such made him happy. That all changed once Robin got to high school, maybe it was just puberty or something but his marks dropped, he started skipping classes, and just overall became apathetic towards school. In exchange for his good marks and behavior he became the "cool kid", people thought he was really cool and mysterious but in all honesty he just didn't care.

Sometime in the first semester of grade ten he and his mother took a trip to Moscow, the place where he was conceived and where his parents had met. The mob that still had significant power over Moscow had heard of the family's arrival and seeked them out. Robin soon enough became in contact with the mob and was taken in by them. He was just partying with them and having fun but eventually it turned into Robin helping them steal food and money, stealing vehicles and doing much more crazy things. His mother wanted to go back home immediately but the mob wouldn't let the boy go so she was forced to leave the country alone when they threatened her.

Robin spent the next year of his life running around with the mob and doing unspeakably bad things, to the point where he was involved in kidnapping, torture, and aggravated assault. He worked his way through the ranks and even became one of the higher ups in the mob, known as "the machine" or "little volkov" by the others. Before he knew it everything came to an end, he was forced to attend Kessho Reform Academy, taken away from his gang and placed in a new environment alone without any of his comrades. After coming to Japan he's made a resolution to become a police officer and to change his ways, but he'll need to escape his past, bad attitude, and terrible grades first.
