The boy sat cross-legged on a tarp, ordering the eyeballs from smallest to largest. When he found two of equal size, he plucked one and tossed it into his mouth. Olle basked in the sweet taste of the winegum eyeball, chewing deliberately and slowly. He stared up at the overcast sky. It promised rain in the hours to come. Olle cast a look at the dorm buildings in the distance. Even if they didn't have his nagging parents, there was something about the people here that made him miss home nonetheless. He wasn't sure what it was. By all rights, he should be glad to be away from home. If he thought of this as an extended abroad study, it became that much more bearable. "En toch vind ik het niks." Olle plucked up another eye and held it in front of his own. "Vind je ook niet?" He threw it into his mouth without awaiting an answer. For the sixth time, he scattered the cardboard pieces he'd turned into a jigsaw puzzle. One hundred and fifty jigsaw pieces exactly fell on the tarp. Olle shuffled them for good measure and set about completing the puzzle. The corner pieces were always easiest. It reminded him he needed to pick up a round puzzle again. It was stupid to have forgotten to pack those. Or rather, to say he 'forgot' would've been too charitable for his parents. He didn't forget. They made him forget. No one could remember everything if two people were constantly yelling at 'em. Let alone if those two people wanted to pretend they were helping, stuffing useless junk in his case. Well, not like he had any of those things. Stupid school taking all his stupid things. Well, he'd gotten back at 'em. He'd taken a tarp that had been laying around, and used it now as a makeshift picnic cloth. It was the rain he was worried about, though. What were the signs again?
@open This is my lazy "find some way to approach him" thread. I admit it.

Thread Grades: 30; 9 ; 1 ; 10 OOC: Dynamic entry!
Alongside the chill, there was also a strange uplifting quality to the wind that blew in with the heavy, overcast sky. Tanis’ eyes remained fixated on the clouds above, glaring as though she was going to hold them to their promise of rain; they better not hold out on her. Rain, after all, was clearly the best type of weather.
It was hard to tell time; the cluttered heavens did a good job at filtering out light. Everything had looked the same shade of wash-out ‘bleh’ the entire day. Then again, Wei was just released from her classes; there wasn’t a need to worry about timekeeping. Her eyes lulled down, up against a group of papers stapled together. The only thing she had to worry about was getting her assignments finished.
It wasn’t that Luana was worried about her grades — she wasn’t… But at the same time the faster she could get out of this school the better; if she tried to be one of the goody two shoes students then she’d probably be out in no time!
Her xanthic gaze continued to stare down the paper, as if she could force the assignment to complete it self with sheer intimation. Even the will to try and read the instructions was already beginning to wane within the amazon. She took a lungful of air, before letting it all escape in a hefty sigh — which was promptly caught in her throat as her hands fumbled to catch the paper, whisked away by a sudden, powerful gust.
“GODS DAMN IT!” The woman cried out, her heavy feet stomping against the grass as Tanis stampeded her way after the paper, not keeping in mind that she was placing herself in a crash course with a student lounging on his tarp.
The wind threatened to pick up just as the locomotive began closing on her assignment. In one desperate attempt to end this little chase before it got out of control, the 6’07” she-beast leaped — a dive for the paper, which had little right among the treats and puzzles.

OOC: I like the look of that dig, I'm copying it. Mwahaha! Special note: I edited back the first post: the puzzle's just a makeshift one from cut up cardboard, so they're all bent and out of shape. I read over the 'took all belongings' bit in the rules buuuuuut the rest should be fiiiiine. TL Notes: 'Goddome' sounds as 'Chot dom muh' and basically means 'goddammit', except it's Dutch. Because Olle is Dutch. His English accent resembles the Received Pronounciation. Luana Wei
One of Olle's great qualities was his dedication to whatever he set his mind to, a near complete focus on the matter at hand. So complete, so focused was his mind that he was already halfway through the puzzle, despite having started not ten minutes ago. A feat few could replicate. Fewer still did it because they actually found it amusing. But Olle's iron focus was broken when a sheet of paper landed softly on the half-completed puzzle. The boy reached for the paper, half-curiously and half to remove whatever marred his view of the puzzle when the sky overhead took a turn for the dramatic, and deep shadows were thrown over the tarp. He looked up just in time to see who was going to destroy his tranquility before she did it. "Ahh! Goddomme!" His shrill cry pierced the silence he'd been working in, and his iron focus was entirely gone. He'd been hunched over his puzzle before, but now Olle found himself sprawled back, staring in abject terror at where his puzzle had been. Now, some giantess lay there, clutching in her hand the paper he'd reached for just moments earlier. Scattered around her and on the grass field were the mangled pieces of the puzzle massacre she'd just committed. "Wat denk-- Just what do you think you're doing?!" He could feel his stomach turn and warmth rush to his cheeks. Oh man. That was the last thing he needed. Not here, not now. Definitely not now. He needed... that. He needed it. But they didn't have it here! Even so, Olle looked about in a panic. Maybe somewhere by some chance...

“Oops.” Was the first thing that escaped her lips. Slowly, the girl pushed herself up from the tarp, looking about at the ruckus she caused.
Slowly, the girl got to one knee, her massive hands patting at her dark school blouse. She looked up at the boy; he looked very much in distress. Caught up in the moment, Tanis couldn’t remember if she crashed into him or not. He didn’t look hurt, which simply added to the mystery regarding his behavior.
“Mine bad,” the amazon mumbled, reaching out and retrieving her stacks of papers, before her gaze returned to Olle. “Did I hurt ya?” She wondered, her talons combing through her mane once to reveal piece of puzzles. Her eyes scanned the boy, lingering over his face a little too long. He was rather frail-looking, though his eyes and hair were — like a few of the others she encountered — rather unique. He had that pretty exotic quality to him.
Feeling the puzzle pieces beginning to clump-up in her hands, the girl found herself being pulled away from admiring his looks.
“Oh… I messed up.” She analyzed, “Sorry. I interrupted your puzzle time, ja?” She asked, offering him the pieces, going as far as to fish out two from between her cleavage — a bit confused as to how those got there, considering her slightly-too-small shirt was buttoned to the very top.
Suddenly, synapses sparked in the girls head. Quickly, she brought the stack of papers to her face and realized something — this was the perfect time to go over her homework assignment! She had been tasked to analyze people’s behaviors before and after certain actions.
Her hand made a reaching motion for her pockets, only for her to realize this type of skirt — while also too short — didn’t have pockets. Under her breath, she cursed the administration for not only getting her clothing numbers wrong, but also not giving her pants instead.
“Do you have a pen?” she wondered, “I need to record how angry you is at the moment, on scale of one to ten.”

OOC: Olle's a little weird. Just because he's freaking out and overreacting doesn't mean you should leave! (Trying to stay in-character though!) Luana Wei
The first thing he noticed about the girl was her accent. Well, the first thing was her height, but her accent certainly came in first after that. She easily had ten centimetres over him. Maybe. Olle wasn't sure, guesstimating distances and lengths was not one of his fortes. If he was going to measure things accurately he'd have been a ruler. His eyes caught hers for a split second, but Olle looked away immediately. He stared at his sneakers instead, grumbling soundless complaints to himself. She's doing it on purpose. She isn't. Why does this have to happen to me? I was close, too. Everyone's always getting in my way. I can't ever have fun. It always has to be this way. On and on his mind went, spiralling out of control. Olle clutched his head, eyes closed tight as he pressed against his temples. As she spoke, he tried to convince himself that it was all right. That he was being irrational, and the world wasn't out to screw him sideways. He bit his finger. Tugged at his ear. Wasn't working. Needed something soft. But he didn't have anything. There wasn't anything nearby, either. She should just leave him alone for now. Yeah, that was it. People just needed to let him be when he had one of these. That was best. But nooo, everyone's always going to bother me. 'How angry you is'. "RrrrraaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHHH!" He emptied all the air in his lungs in one roar. He breathed heavily, still glaring at his sneakers, resumed biting his finger. "I'm not... not angry... not angry... just... not in a good spot. Not a good spot. You ruined it. Ruined my puzzle. Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?!" He let out a low-pitched groan, started rocking back and forth. She's doing this on purpose. She's not. She is.

Out of all the reactions Luana possibly could have expected, Olle decided to not follow through with any of them. Instead he put on a play that confused - and put the girl off a bit. Tanis couldn't rationalize any of it! She just stood there, leaning back just slightly with eyes wide open, half expecting a punch to be thrown her way.
One wasn’t - that was perhaps the scariest part; not only was his anger surging in sn unnatural way, but he also didn’t seem to let go out of any of it in a way Tanis was comfortable with. This was almost as frightening as those girls who always talked very low and acted very nice, only to be very venomous when one least expects.
Choosing her words carefully, Tanis rose to her feet slowly.
“Iz just game - why you have to be mad?”
Should the boy not jump at her for that one, Tanis would allow a moment of silence to breed between them. She would go on to look about, and begin apologize.
“Mine honest apologies. Do you want help finding and building puzzle again?”
The amazon clearly has a bit of trouble vocalizing and expressing herself, but there was an undeniable effort there to right the wrongs she caused.

OOC: note Luana Wei
Of course it was just a game! He knew that! Olle knew he wasn't being rational, but that didn't subside the episode whatsoever. It never did. It only meant afterwards he'd feel awful as hell about it, and mope around his room. That idea upset him, too. She didn't mean anything by it, didn't mean anything. It's okay, it's okay. She's trying to be nice. Not trying to upset you. He took a deep breath, then breathed out. Then he took a deep breath again, and breathed out. For two minutes, but what felt like an eternity to Olle, he paid attention to his breathing, and tried to block out his negative thoughts. She offered to help him find a new puzzle. But Olle didn't want any help. He wanted to do it himself. By himself, too. There were people who could put puzzles together, well, together, but Olle did not think he was one of them. He took a deep breath again. "Nnno... that's all right, all right. I'm just... I don't handle, well, surprises well." He plucked a blade of grass and twirled it in his fingers. "S, sorry for freaking out like that. I'm... it's not intentional. I just really, really, really can't handle that sort of stuff." He threw the grass away. "S, so what is that paper anyway, for you to jump after it?" He hoped it was at least something worth it, and that his poor puzzle (may you rest in pieces) had not died for something stupid.

“Ist class assignment,” The woman noted, feeling a heavy wave of relief wash over her when the foreign one finally spoke.
He had seemed to have gathered his wits in the stretched period of time that he had gone silent for. Which was good; if he hadn’t Tanis would likely have bolted.
“Mine job ist to do good deeds and record how people react,” she explained, looking over the stapled papers together, “Extra credit, since I am failing that dumb class.”
There was a tap on the paper, as the feral woman’s yellow eyes rested on the boy once more. “Might not have been good deed, but certainly interesting one. Figured if it was put down it would count.”
Tanis was downright terrible with social clues. As such, she couldn’t read the writing on the wall, and instead decided to blatantly lay her doubts bare.
“Should I make mine way out?” She wondered, “Don’t want to make things too awkward for ya.”

OOC: Took a while, but I am recovered from fever now. :D Luana Wei
A class assignment was probably the closest thing to a good reason he was going to get at this school. Had to admit he wasn't too diligent about his own, aiming simply for the passing grade and not the best. It was almost baffling to see people actually strive for it; as if in mockery of all Dutch students, telling them they're lazier than even delinquents. That suited him just fine, though. Olle needed a reason to consider himself a delinquent, and he was going to take what he could get. Olle plucked another handful of grass from the ground, then tilted his hand so the blades would slowly slide back to the earth. "No, it's fine. It's fine. I'm not upset." He still couldn't bring up the energy to smile. "Aren't you, uh... Aren't you even a little worried that 'destroying someone's puzzle' doesn't come close to a 'good deed'? I mean, you might fail your extra credit if you ignore the assignment." Any assignment should be followed to the exact requirements, of course. That was what people looked for, anyway. Originality and innovation were nice words, but they were also completely pointless. They were the sort of words people liked to write long speeches about. The sort people'd rant and rave for an hour about, when the audience's already gone off to lala-land, bereft of the will to listen. "What class is it, anyway?" He could hazard a guess, but Olle didn't like guessing at things. He liked the cold certainty of confirmation.

OOC:That's alright; no rush from me. I haven't been in the spirits to post myself. Good to see you're better.
Never being an academic naturally caused the Amazon to pause at the boy's comment; he had brought up a point that Tanis hadn't even considered. Even though she might be adding more information to the assignment, it wasn't exactly the information that the powers that be wanted. The girl paused, unsure what she should do about all this.
"What would you suggest?" Tanis wondered, "What good deeds would get me a good grade?"
Her yellow gaze, which had lingered on her paperwork for a moment, moved up to address the boy.
"What ist your name anyway?" she wondered, "Mine ist L —" in a split second, she caught herself, deciding to not impart her real name so willy-nilly, "Tanis."
"What about helping you with something as apology? Would that be good enough deed?"
