yo guys wassup check out my characters they're pretty cool except for the fact that they're not  d ecklyn o'conner - second year junior high school (13 yrs old) - aggravated assault people tend to think decklyn's on some kind of drug, since she's always panicky and jittery, and also she can probably punch holes through concrete walls because she's hella swole despite appearances. the only highs she are, though, are high-maintenance and high-strung. though a naturally kind and compassionate person, she can be pretty hard to deal with due to her through-the-roof levels of paranoia. she acts solely based on impulse, and doesn't seem to have an ounce of rationality in her. whenever her buildup of panic reaches its maximum, she has a huge freak-out moment which she refers to as meltdowns. they come in the form of her tearing everything around her to shreds for however long it lasts, which is the reason she got landed in this hellhole of a school to begin with. friends don't come easily to her. people tend to be turned away by her twitchiness, and those who aren't deterred by that are soon put off by her clinginess. she isn't used to receiving affection, so whenever anyone shows the slightest bit of kindness to her for whatever reason, she sticks to them like a leech. if you can get past her faults, though, she's a truly loyal and and compassionate friend. she comes with the added bonus of freakish physical strength, so if you ever need someone to flail their way to victory, she's your girl. she doesn't have enough hate in her to have enemies. she's a bit like a child, though, in that she's clingy, gullible, and vulnerable. it's to be expected that there will be people who manipulate or bully her in some way. she's an okay punching bag since she doesn't fight back (unless she reaches her tipping point, which usually comes with a warning anyway) or snitches, though she has a low health grade so she gets beat up pretty quickly. as a puppet, though, she's laughably easy to control. all you have to do is extend a helping hand one time, and she's dedicated to your cause for life. she has absolutely no experience with love. she has a lot of love to give and is eager to give it away, so she crushes on people very easily. she's pansexual, so she's often smitten by anyone who so much as looks her way without beating her up. she's pretty obvious with her crushes and might even be impulsive enough to straight-up confess once she identifies her feelings for others. do with that what you will. i'm open to absolutely anything with decky, so please please throw plots her way!

Heyo Marquee, just hitting up this plotter with an idea I had going around for Johnny and Decky. So the idea is that simply Decky was getting bullied around by some delinquents and Johnny being the knight in shining armor upstanding guy he is steps in to stop it. Johnny is pretty protective of other people especially those that can't protect themselves so when he sees how seemingly defenseless and high-strung Decky is he'll probably try to coax her into relaxing. You know take her out to ice cream or something because he doesn't know how to socialize with kids..... Anyway, that's the basic plot of it and it's pretty bare bones but we could just exchange a few ideas. So feel free to add or change anything~. |

Jonathan Buchanan hell yeah i am so up for this idea!! she's been expecting the worse for this school since it's, y'know, full of assailants and murderers and all, so she's probably already resigned to her fate as an open target. she'll absolutely idolize johnny as some kind of angel sent from heaven to grace this godforsaken school so,, she might actually be more nervous than usual around him but what can you do. she's going to follow him around everywhere like a lost puppy so be prepared for that. who makes the meeting thread? given the circumstances of their meeting, i probably should do it, but i won't be able to until tmrw night so if you want to get one up before that then that's fine!

I think on their first encounter, Oliver is going to off the bat assume she is on some drugs. Mostly because she is very jittery and abrupt in her behavior. Most likely he will try walking briskly past her, trying not to trigger any disastrous nuclear meltdowns.
It's not likely he will delve far into her problems, but if he ends up getting to know whats actually going on. I feel like he'd ask her if anybody has ever tried to medicate her anxiety, at least assist her on a mental illness level. If not, then he may try and talk to the nurse or a teacher about that kind of possibility. A sliver of humanity in him.

Oliver Smith aha decky's pretty used to that reaction by now, so she'd just be resigned about her whole situation. she'd be super flustered if oliver tried to actually help her though, especially since she has never considered mental illness to be the root of all her,, high-strungness. in her past, people have mostly just assumed that she's just hella weird, to oliver could def introduce to her the idea that Maybe It's Not All Her Fault or something like that.
how about he stumbles upon her in the aftermath of a meltdown? like he hears a ton of crashing sounds and goes to investigate, and he finds decky sitting in the middle of an empty classroom with broken desks all around her just. in shock. or possibly screaming and crying who even knows. i can make the thread if you're busy? |

Let's pair the guy who was sent to reform school for literally selling children with the youngest person around in the school. This is a Good Idea. Weirdness aside, we should team up and get bullied together, as the students who don't belong in this awful prison. It seems like Decklyn is PRETTY BUSY looking at the replies above this so if you're not down that is 100% fine. Bullying aside, Keith can at least attempt to deal with Decklyn a little better than most given that he has experience in working with children; alternatively, Decklyn can just kick the shit out of Keith in a meltdown, which will be great because honestly Keith deserves at least three shit-kickings a week. we can go with both plots and kill two birds in one stone!! maybe they could meet with decky sitting at a table in the dining hall,, all by herself,, so keith pities her and goes to eat with her? she would be so grateful to befriend someone who isn't, y'know. super violent. she'd probably latch onto him and follow him around everywhere like a lost puppy, and maybe at some point introduce him to jonathan, who she also happens to latch onto and follow around everywhere like a lost puppy. what a coincidence.
one day keith could catch her in the middle of a meltdown (usually she has one once a month or so, but this school is a breeding ground for panic so she's probs gonna have one or two every week now r i p) and she could rough him up a little? but then her panic dies down and she realizes what she's doing, and she apologizes and tries to explain herself 100 times, and he's all "no it's ok u couldn't help it" bc at this point he knows what's going on with her, and she's like "why r u forgiving me when i just wrecked ur ass??" and it's fun for the whole family. i'm crying tho, keith doesn't deserve any kickings?? #letkeithlive2k17, trending worldwide on twitter.
so i guess it's like one plot building up to another plot, which might take some time to progress. lmk if you want to change anything! |

Decklyn O'Conner It's literally perfect If we're in it for the long haul, we're in it for the long haul - nothing can be done about that. Besides, that'll make it more fun in the end anyway, so we might as well ride the wave to its inevitable end. Hell, if we're going for a long, slow-burn plot, that gives us a great opportunity to try something else I thought of recently. We're dealing with a younger girl in the school who basically qualifies as a child. If she begins hanging around Keith, who was brought to this school for the express reason of accidentally selling children for profit, eventually the obvious rumors will start to go around: "I heard that Fulton kid might be trying to sell that O'Conner girl like he did those other kids." That's a huge rumor, one that can potentially shift a lot of dynamics with other friends Keith and Decklyn have as well; Jonathan is an obvious answer, since you previously mentioned him, but anyone Decklyn or Keith know could end up being involved as well. It seems like a fun way to involve others, though I recognize it is incredibly difficult to coordinate.

Keith Fulton oh my god ur a genius?? holy shit i am 110% in on this. at first decky would deny the rumors, because keith's a nice guy, he would never do that right?.. but as time goes on and ppl get more concerned about her, she gets progressively paranoid around him. around him she pretends she doesn't know squat about that rumor bc she doesn't know how to approach the topic, but eventually keith notices the nervous way she's acting around her.
which could actually lead to the meltdown plot?? like keith decides to end this whole thing once and for all and asks to talk with decky alone. he ushers her into an empty room and is like "listen, let me clear up this whole human trafficking rumor bc it's messing up our friendship," but at this point she's at the peak of her paranoia and she just straight up melts down on him. shit-kicking ensues, but when decky finally understands that keith isn't trying to hurt her, she winds down and keith gets the chance to finally explain the whole situation? both of them are crying everything is bad god help these two children

Decklyn O'Conner Oh man, I hadn't considered using this as the lead-in to the meltdown; in my mental timeline the meltdown was inbetween the meeting and the rumors. We should definitely go with your idea, the drama brewing there is fantastic. Regarding set-up; I'm not picky who sets up the introductions so I'll let you decide. I should warn you, however, that starting on Sunday I'm gonna be a little bit hard to catch for posts due to a few prior commitments. For the most part, we should be fine, but I want to leave that there as foreknowledge.

Robin isn't typically one to approach others but seeing Decklyn being thirteen year old twitchy and panicky would resonate with the mother inside of Decklyn and he'd feel compelled to at least say something. He's quite boring in that he doesn't have many interests of his own but he'd be totally down to hang out with the girl if she ever wanted to. Being the mom friend, Robin's specialty is listening to people's problems so anything she wanted to get off of her chest could be told to Robin if they ever got to that level of trust. Maybe they could have a brother / sister relationship? Being an only child Robin would be ecstatic to have a sibling, even if it's not by blood or law, it'd feel like he'd have one to look after.
